India cricket team batter Shubman Gill is all set for the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand on Sunday. The Men in Blue will lock horns with the Kiwis on Sunday at 2.30 PM IST in a bid to add another trophy to their cabinet. The Indian vice-captain is pumped up for the marquee clash and ahead of the game, he summed up the mentality of the Indian camp.

In a video uploaded by BCCI on the day of the Champions Trophy final, Gill detailed on the team’s outlook towards the match. In the video, there was also a footage of the vice-captain addressing the team huddle, advising them to be positive in their approach always.
“It feels like we landed here in Dubai just yesterday in our quest to claim the Champions Trophy. Energies were high. Vibes were positive. And let us assure you nothing has changed. Three weeks, four wins. Countless hours of training and endless smiles later, it is time for one final push. It’s time for one final stretch. For one final time, let’s go and get this one,” Gill said.

India last won the Champions Trophy in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The lost to defending champions Pakistan in the finals of the tournament in 2017. In CT 2025, India have remained defeat-less so far, having won games against Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia.
India and New Zealand have clashed in ICC knockout matches four times, with the Blackcaps having the upper hand. New Zealand leads the head-to-head record 3-1 against the Men in Blue.
