On a super Saturday, the Asian Games is set to witness the mother of all clashes – India vs Pakistan. It will be a double delight for the fans as the arch-rivals are set to face each other in two important matches on the day across two different sporting disciplines.
Both the nations will face-off in the Men’s Hockey group encounter on the day. The much-awaited clash will get underway at 6.15 PM IST. Before this, both the countries are set to fight for gold in the Men’s squash team event. The big final will begin at 1 PM IST.

India vs Pakistan Final – Squash
After four days of intense action, it all comes down to this in the Squash Men’s team event. Gold medal is at stake as the rivals take on each other in the big final. Both India and Pakistan eye their second Asian Games gold medal in the Men’s team event.
Pakistan won the gold medal way back in 2010. Indian Men finished on the top of the podium in the very next edition at Incheon in 2014. Both the teams settled for bronze in the 2018 edition.
In this edition, both the teams were pitted in the same group. Pakistan went on to defeat India 1-2 in the contest. It was the only loss in the tournament for India. Saurav Ghosal-led Indian side now seeks revenge.
Pakistan comprising Asim Khan, Noor Zaman, Asim Kham, Nasir Iqbal and Farhan Zaman dominated the event throughout so far. They have won all their five matches and aim to win the gold. Having defeated India earlier, they will enter the upcoming contest with confidence.
India too will not be short of confidence as they have reached the final by defeating the defending champions Malaysia in the semifinal. A cracker of a contest is on the cards.

India vs Pakistan – Hockey
The Gongshu Canal sports park Hockey field is all set for an exhilarating India vs Pakistan showdown in Men’s Hockey. Both the teams remain unbeaten in the group stages so far after playing three matches.
It has been a goal-fest for both the teams so far at this Asian Games. They have scored a total of more than 30 goals India is currently at the top spot in the group. Pakistan trails just by goal-difference. The upcoming contest can be touted as the battle for the top spot in the group as a win for any of the teams will help them seal the first place in the group.
The Men in Blue have dominated against Pakistan in recent times. They recently met during the Hockey Asian Champions Trophy and India sealed a 4-0 win in the contest.
