‘Once Upon a time’: Virat Kohli becomes an ’80s kid, seen ‘riding’ a vintage bike in latest social media post

“Once upon a time. #80skids #backinthedays,” the 33-year-old has captioned the picture which appears to be clicked at an ad shoot site. The post on Twitter has already been shared for more than 2,200 times in less than one hour.

On the cricketing front, Virat Kohli returned to lead the Indian team in the second Test match against New Zealand in Mumbai. The star batsman had opted to rest after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 as India whitewashed New Zealand in a 3-T20I series at home under the leadership of new T20I captain Rohit Sharma.

Ajinkya Rahane led in the first Test which ended in a draw. The return of the talismanic leader saw India beat New Zealand by a record breaking 372-run margin in Mumbai in the second Test. The victory was Kohli’s 50th across all formats as a player – the only cricketer to achieve the feat till date.

However, Kohli’s wait for 71st international hundred continues. He manages scores of 0 and 36 in the Mumbai Test. Further, the Delhi batsman has stepped down from India’s T20I captaincy and if sources are to be believed the selectors are mulling change of guard in the ODIs as well.
