No Indian flag at Gaddafi Stadium
In a viral video posted on X, India’s flag was missing at Gaddafi Stadium while flags of other countries were waving in the stands. Fans are criticizing the PCB, accusing them of using such tactics to sideline India and retaliate for India’s decision not to travel to Pakistan for the tournament.
The video was taken after the inaugural ceremony of Gaddafi Stadium, which was specially renovated for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, India’s flag was not installed, despite the team being a part of the tournament.
Gaddafi Stadium inaugural event
Renovations at the Gaddafi Stadium has finally been completed after a long delay. The tournament will begin on February 19, while the first match at this venue is scheduled for February 22. During the inaugural event on February 7, Ali Zafar and other famous Pakistani celebrities performed.
