No chance of Spilt IPL? CSK CEO claims teams have been informed to prepare to play in India for IPL 2024

IPL 2024: CSK CEO rules out chance of Split IPL 2024, Teams advised to prepare for playing in India despite Lok Sabha Elections

Will IPL 2024 be held in entirety in India? That is the big question ahead of the mega tournament. Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan is however of the opinion that such a situation won’t happen. The Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) is slated to start towards the end of March and end towards the latter half of May.

So why is there a question of spilt IPL? The General Elections (Lok Sabha) elections will be held in 2024. Though the dates are not confirmed yet but the elections in India are expected to held between April and May. This means that the election dates will clash with the ongoing IPL matches.

“I have no idea. They have not informed us anything about split schedule. What they have said is that we should be prepared to play IPL in India, this is what we got to hear from them during the auction,” CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said.

With CSK CEO claiming that the teams have been advised to be prepared to play in India, means the IPL schedule and the election dates would be arranged in such a manner that the duo won’t clash with one another.

On the other hand, it is estimated that the tournament is slated to commence from March 22 likely. But the official schedule is yet to be released. Reports claim that the official IPL schedule will be released once the general election dates are finalised.

As for the Yellow Army, CSK are keen to start their title defence. The CSK chief claimed that their camp will be held in the beginning of March.

“We are planning for a camp somewhere by the first week of March. The IPL season is likely to start by 22nd of March. So, we will have our first camp by the first week in Chennai,” Kasi concluded.
