Mohammed Siraj put on a show of fast bowling as India bundled out West Indies early on Day 4. While the hosts showed great deal of resistance, Siraj broke through them with sheer will. Siraj’s best comes in times of adversity. With spinners struggling to break through, the Indian pacer took the lead to run through the Weat Indies batting. The RCB pacer showed WI warning signs yesterday, bowling a peach to get Joshua Da Silva.

On Day 4 however he went into overdrive. He got Holder caught behind before running through the tail. India snatched a 183 run lead and could head towards a win due to his efforts.

With no Jasprit Bumrah or Mohammed Shami in the West Indies, Siraj has once again proven to be India’s pace ace. He is no stranger to the role, having taken it up in his debut series down under.

In the historic Gabba Test, Mohammed Siraj had picked 5/73 to restrict Australia. Today’s haul was only his second fifer in Test cricket. It is also his best figures in the longest format of the game.
