MI skipper Hardik Pandya hasn’t had the best of IPL 2024 season so far. To add to his woes, he has been at the receiving end from the ardent Rohit Sharma fans, who have resorted to booing him, every time Pandya comes on for the toss. The situation has been such, that a report suggested that during one of the matches, MCA had to deploy a sizeable police force in civil clothes to take such fans to task.
It seems like, the MI vs DC match on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium witnessed another first. At the toss, this time around, no boos were heard for Hardik Pandya. That made the fans wonder, if the sound was purposely blocked. At least, X was filled with such reaction, from the users who thought, that MI skipper would be meted out same treatment once again.

18,000 Kids for MI vs DC Clash
The fans on social media went on to also suggest that the reason 18000 kids were brought to the match, was so that nasty comments on Hardik were not made. But then, it seems like, the kids had their favorite too — Rohit Sharma. Of course, that cannot be farther from reality, as those kids were part of the ESA initiative.
