At tea when the host broadcaster got David Warner on the mic, he took jibe at Mitchell Johnson, saying “there is no better way to silence critics”.
“It does feel great, it’s about putting runs on the board for the bowlers. No better way to silence the critics than by putting runs on the board,” David Warner said.
The Australian opener went on to score 164 in the PAK vs AUS 1st Test to put the hosts in a firm position.
“It’s my job to come here and score runs. It was good to get a couple of partnerships, first with Uzzie (Usman Khawaja) and then with Smudge (Steve Smith),” David Warner added.
