New India bowling coach devises clever spin ploy for IND vs ENG Women Test in Mumbai

New India bowling coach devises clever spin ploy for IND vs ENG Women Test in Mumbai

India and England women have played 14 Test matches against each other, with India leading head-to head 2-1.

India’s preparation for the one-off IND vs ENG women test match is going well. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side is currently preparing for the game in Navi Mumbai with their newly appointed bowling coach, Troy Cooley.

The Tasmanian had joined the Indian setup in early December and seems to be working on a clever spin ploy with Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana to take on Heather Knight and co. at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy on December 14.

Troy Cooley was appointed India Women’s Cricket Team head coach ahead of the IND vs ENG Women 1st T20I.

With three front-line spinners in the squad, it seems like Troy Cooley is gunning for trapping England in a spinner’s web. The former pace bowler seems to have devised some plays for the English and was going over them with a left and right-arm spinner in his arsenal.

However, the most peculiar thing that Cooley did was hang a sheet on the net while Rana, Gayakwad, and Meghna Singh were practicing. It seems like the bowling coach has already planned things for Heather Knight and Co. when it comes to spin and pace.
