Nathan Lyon donates Virat Kohli & Jasprit Bumrah signed bats for noble cause

Nathan Lyon played all 5 Test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy and bagged 9 wickets

Veteran Australia Cricket Team spin legend Nathan Lyon hs stolen the hearts of his fans all across the globe. The Aussie veteran spinner had donated three bats to the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC). Most importantly, these bats were signed by Indian greats – Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

The National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC) is an organisation in Australia that helps and offers huge support to diasbled Australian crcketers. Nathan Lyon went on to donate the bats stating the cause – “a sport for all”.

“The position we’re in as role models, if we can inspire boys and girls to go out there and play this beautiful game, which I believe is a sport for all, then it’s worth it,” Nathan Lyon told Cricket Australia.

“These guys are representing South Australia up in Brisbane, so in my eyes, they are playing state cricket and hopefully they can put their hands up for international selection in the Australian ID team,” Lyon added.

The international tournament for the Intellectually Disabled cricketers is slated to begin in Melbourne from 19th January and will continue till 25th. A total of 22 teams will take part in the tournament. From Men’s to Women’s across five divisions based on the disabilities the tournament proceed.
