While MI has been a household name for the last decade and a half, the women’s team is likely to carry a baggage of pressure and expectations. Mumbai Indians are five-time IPL champions under captain Rohit Sharma.
Aware of this, Head Coach Charlotte Edwards said, “I have followed Mumbai Indians for a number of years, and I want to carry forward their winning culture and tradition. However, at the same time, I would like to take the pressure off the players. I want to focus more on the team and less on individuals. Every player is clear about their role. We have a fantastic leader too.”
