MS Dhoni has made it a practice to get to Chennai well in advance of an Indian Premier League season. Weeks before the IPL season starts, the city serves as his home as he trains with his teammates from Chennai and participates in numerous training sessions. The former India skipper also visited Chennai before the squad flew to the UAE for IPL matches over the past three years.
The former captain was also seen alongside legend Sachin Tendulkar in a recent photo session for an advertisement. Both were seen on Thursday, amid hazy skies, paying close attention as the ad shoot crew gave directions.

In the months leading up to the T20 World Cup, Dhoni has been very busy filming commercials. The former captain of the World Cup-winning team generated interest when he posted on Facebook to tease supporters about a big announcement coming in September. In the end, it turned out to be a World Cup-themed advertisement for a well-known biscuit company Oreo.
At the end of IPL 2022, the World Cup-winning captain announced that he would play in 2023. As the IPL is about to return to the home-away format, Dhoni is likely to captain Chennai Super Kings.
