MS Dhoni: LGM –Fans turned out in numbers to just catch a glimpse of MS Dhoni at Chennai airport. The Chennai Super Kings skipper was seen in the city for the audio and trailer launch of his first production movie Let’s Get Married (LGM). Backed by Dhoni’s film production house Dhoni Entertainment, it will be the first film under the former India captain’s home banner. The 42-year-old who celebrated his birthday three days ago was greeted with a hero’s welcome.
Interestingly, the wicketkeeper batter also sported a new look with a long beard and hair. ‘The official fan page of CSK ‘Whistle Podu Army’ shared the video Dhoni, Dhoni Dhoni’ screamed the fans as the CSK captain responded by giving a warm smile to the blockbuster welcome he received in the city.

Along with Dhoni, Sakshi will also be present for the audio and trailer launch of LGM. The event is excepted to take place on Monday, July 10. LSM movie will feature Harish Kalyan, Ivana, Nadhiya, Yogi Babu, and Mirchi Vijay. It will be a light-hearted movie, with the story revolving around a quirky take on marriage. Ramesh Tamilmani will be directing LGM, with Sakshi helping in conceptualizing the project.
Earlier, Dhoni’s better half had spoken about the LGM and said, “We look forward to being here and doing more such meaningful stories. We are excited to start this fascinating journey today. I assure you that this fun-filled film will be one that the entire family can enjoy.”
MS Dhoni: Dhoni turns 42, speculation on IPL future remains after knee surgery
For the unversed, after the culmination of IPL 2023 season, Dhoni underwent knee surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The former India captain confirmed to CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan that after the surgery he will begin rehabilitation. Dhoni will also not play till January-February keeping everyone guessing about his IPL future.
“In Mumbai, after Ruturaj’s wedding [on June 4], I visited him. It was a courtesy call. He’s quite comfortable. He said he’ll rest for three weeks and then start his rehab. And like he said, he’s not going to play until January-February. We don’t need to remind him about all that,” Kasi added to ESPN Cricinfo.
Earlier, Dhoni had stated that he wishes to play one more season of IPL as a gift for fans. However, everything will depend on his knee recovery.
