Michael Slater Arrested: IPL commentator & fomer Aussie test cricketer arrested on charges of domestic violence

Michael Slater Arrested – He was arrested at a Manly home on Wednesday morning although no charges have been laid, according to police.

NSW Police said in a statement that the alleged incident occurred on October 12.

“Officers attached to the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation yesterday after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident alleged to have occurred on Tuesday 12 October 2021,’’ the statement reads.

“Following inquiries, detectives attended a home at Manly about 9.20am and spoke with a 51-year-old man. He has since been arrested and taken to Manly Police Station.”

Why was Slated Dumped by Channel 7? Slater was reportedly dumped by Channel 7 earlier this month after he criticised Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Twitter over banning overseas arrivals from India during the Indian Premier League.

Slater tweeted at the time: “If our Government cared for the safety of Aussies they would allow us to get home. It’s a disgrace!

“Blood on your hands PM. How dare you treat us like this. How about you sort out quarantine system.

“I had government permission to work on the IPL but I now have government neglect.

“And for those who think this is a money exercise. Well forget it. This is what I do for a living and I have not made a penny having left early. So please stop the abuse and think of the thousands dying in India each day. It’s called empathy. If only our government had some!”

These comments proved very costly for the former Australian test opener. 54 year old Slater had played 74 test matches for Australia scoring 5312 runs with 14 test hundreds.
