Three days after making his IPL debut, Mayank Yadav already holds the record for bowling the most deliveries at 155 km or over in the league’s history. Including Mayank, only five bowlers have ever crossed the 155 mark. Interestingly, the 21-year-old fast bowler who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) holds not one but two of the six spots on the list.
Shaun Tait currently holds the record for the fastest ball (157.71), while Mayank features in the fourth and sixth spots (156.7 and 155.8). Having bowled just 8 overs (48 balls), the express pacer has already overtaken the likes of Tait, Lockie Ferguson, Umran Malik, and Anrich Nortje.

Tait, the second-fastest bowler in cricket’s history, has delivered 473 balls in the IPL but failed to hold this record. Ferguson, Nortje, and Umran, all three still stay in the IPL and have bowled 811, 970, and 493 deliveries, respectively, and have still not bowled three balls over 155 km.
