‘Majjani life’: Coach Ashish Nehra sips juice as GT beats SRH in IPL 2024

Gujarat Titans began their season with a victory over the Mumbai Indians. Shubman Gill and his teammates were, however, outplayed by the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings in their last match.

As GT bounced back to winning ways following a stellar 7-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, head coach Ashish Nehra was seen all relaxed enjoying a drink as Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmed and Rashid Khan wreaked havoc on hard-hitting Pat Cummins and co. Winning two out of three three opening games, GT have made a good start to IPL 2024.

The IPL outfit shared a photo of the head coach looking cold as ever with a glass of juice in his hand waiting for the match to get over. ‘Match jeetwanu, juice peevanu, majjani life’ the caption read on Twitter.

GT claim stellar 7-wicket win in IPL 2024

Emerging as the standout among GT’s bowlers, pacer Mohit Sharma conceded just three runs in the final over as SRH posted 162-8 in 20 overs. Providing GT with a solid start, Wriddhiman Saha and Gill contributed 36 runs before Shahbaz Ahmed claimed the first wicket for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Skipper Gill recorded 36 runs off 28 balls, while Sai Sudharsan continued his impressive scoring streak with a solid 45-run knock off 36 balls. Guiding GT to a comfortable victory, David Miller smashed 44 runs off 27 balls as Gujarat Titans defeated Cummins and his team by seven wickets.
