Lowest powerplay totals in T20 World Cup

Papua New Guinea became the fifth team to record the lowest total in the powerplay during the T20 World Cup 2024.

Papua New Guinea registered an unwanted record in the match against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2024. PNG became the fifth team to score the lowest total in the powerplay of the T20 World Cup tournament, managing to post just 16/2 in the first six overs of the game on Monday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Uganda still holds the record for the lowest total in the powerplay with 9/3 against the same team, New Zealand, in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the same venue. Pakistan is listed second with 13/4 against the West Indies in Mirpur during the T20 World Cup 2014.
