India Women's T20 World Cup 2026 squad announcement LIVE: Selection meeting underway

India squad announcement LIVE: The India cricket team squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is expected to be announced at around 5 PM on May 2, (Saturday). Captain Harmanpreet Kaur is scheduled to address a press conference after the announcement is made, along with BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and chief selector Amita Sharma. The marquee event will commence from June 12, with the entire tournament schedule to be held in England. India, who managed to get just 2 wins in the previous edition of the tournament in 2024, will be aiming to bounce back and will also be riding high on momentum as they were recently crowned the ODI champions last year. Harmanpreet Kaur and co. will take on Pakistan in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 opener on June 14.
