IND-W vs ENG-W Test, Day 3: England bowlers managed to pick up six wickets on Day 3 as Smriti Mandhana, Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh took India to 341/7. Then, Bhatia became the first player to hammer a century at Lord’s in a women’s Test. After the keeper scored her century, India declared and set England a 457-run target.

Indian bowlers had a dream start, picking five early wickets. Kranti Gaud and Sayali Satghare showed how to bowl on this pitch, rattling the top order before Sneh Rana sent back the English captain. Day 4, the final day of the match, will be a mere formality as Harmanpreet Kaur’s India are set to write history at the ‘Home of Cricket’.

India women’s cricket team resumed their 2nd innings at 154/1 on Day 3 of the one-off Test at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday. Smriti Mandhana (69*) and Yastika Bhatia (39*) allowed powered IND to a 269-run lead at the end of play on Day 2. England Women were bowled out for just 170 runs in their 1st innings. Kranti Gaud etched her name on the Lord’s honours board with a brilliant five-wicket haul. The visitors managed to start their 2nd innings with a 115-run lead. An 88-run opening partnership followed by a 66-run second-wicket stand allowed India to finish Day 3 on a high note. Smriti Mandhana will be aiming to get to her century on Day 3.

Knight pushed at a good-length ball around the fourth stump from Ghosh. It skids back in, takes a thick inside edge off the pad, and pops up. Richa Ghosh at forward short leg reacts fast and grabs it. India even appealed for a run-out at the end. That’s Knight gone. Another England legend walks. India form a guard of honour as she leaves, just like they did for Beaumont. England are 4 down and sinking.

Drama here after Harmanpreet Kaur brings spin for the first time in this innings. Against two righties, off-spinner Sneh Rana has provided the biggest wicket.

England are wobbling at 3 down and Sneh Rana landed the big punch. On 9.2 Sciver-Brunt was rapped on the pad but survived because replays showed it going over. The umpire gave it out but it was going way over the sumps.

Next ball, Rana tossed it up around middle and off. Sciver-Brunt dropped to sweep, missed completely, and heard the death rattle. Bowled for 11. Terrific stuff from Sneh Rana, who doesn't need a DRS to see the back of NSB.

Three early wickets gone. India have their tails up and England’s middle order is in early as debutant Alice Capsey comes in.

Kranti Gaud, who got a fifer in the first innings, starts this one in the best way possible. Gaud nipped one back from a length. Beaumont played down the wrong line, first ball of her last Test knock. It clipped the top of off. Golden duck. Beaumont leaves with a smile on her face.

As a send-off, the entire Indian team gives Beaumont a terrific guard of honour, with Smriti Mandhana also shaking the English legend's hands. The entire Lord's lobby claps as well, with Heather Knight coming to bat, who is also playing her last innings for England.
