Lifeless: Mickey Arthur takes subtle dig at Pakistan Cricket for flat pitch conditions

Mickey Arthur takes no prisoners, indirectly slams PCB for flat and lifeless pitches in Pakistan

Former Pakistan Cricket Team head coach Mickey Arthur has taken a subtle dig at his former team. Mickey Arthur took to social media to claim that pitches that favours bowlers are much better than ‘lifeless’ pitches. Arthur drew context to the ongoing IND vs ENG and AUS vs WI Test matches.

Arthur with this post has taken a major dig at his former team which he coached. He has indirectly claimed pitches in Pakistan to be lifeless and flat which make matches boring.

Test matches in Pakistan have often proved to be batting paradise for the batters. The matches used to drag on for all 5 days with each team piling up huge runs. But Arthur claims that when pitches start to favour the bowlers, the Test matches start to become more interesting and enjoyable.

The IND vs ENG Test match is ongoing in full throttle. India bowled out England on Day 1 for a mere score of 246 runs. At stumps on Day 2 India have extended their lead to 175 runs. Similarly in the AUS vs WI Test, West Indies hold a sslender lead of 35 runs, batting for the second time on Day 2.

After a poor outing by Pakistan Cricket Team in ODI World Cup, all 3 foreign coaches including Mickey Arthur were removed by the PCB.
