After a fine 61 against the Lucknow Super Giants, Prithvi Shaw continued his onslaught, scoring his second consecutive half-century of IPL 2022. Shaw took full use of the field restrictions and smashed the KKR attack to all parts of the ground in a opening overs carnage.
Delhi Capitals raced to 68 in the powerplay, and Shaw-Warner put on 93 for the wicket inside 9 overs. Shaw eventually perished after scoring 51 off just 29 balls, laced with seven boundaries and two sixes.
This was also Shaw’s fifth fifty against KKR in just seven innings against the two-time champions. Only twice before has the Delhi batter not gone past 50 against KKR.

“I love watching Warner bat. Our execution was well. We did pretty well to get 215. I am fine. Keeping it simple from my side. Just trying to strike. The powerplay was really important for us. It is a good total as well,” Shaw said after the first innings.
