Jasprit Bumrah fetched his 14th five-wicket haul in Test cricket as he continued to wreak havoc on England. Being the spearhead of the Indian pace attack in ENG vs IND 1st Test, the fast bowler managed to get three wickets on Day 2 before getting two more on the next day. England have been bowled out for 465 runs in their 1st innings, falling 6 runs short of India’s 1st innings total.
Bumrah bags 14th fifer
Bumrah was the sole wicket-taker on Day 2 for India, getting rid of Crawley, Duckett and Root. On Day 3, he continued to impress as he got rid of Woakes and Tongue. Though Bumrah did not taste any success in the 1st session, he managed to bounce back in the 2nd, helping India outfox England’s tailenders.
With his fifer in England, Bumrah equalled the legendary Kapil Dev’s record in taking the most five-wicket hauls by an Indian in away Tests.

Bumrah recieved support from fellow Indian pacers pretty late. It was on Day 3 that Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj managed to taste sucess. Ultimately, Krishna finished with figures of 3/128 and Siraj with 2/122.
