While there is no clear timeline for his return, Bumrah could be seen at the start of the new year in the series against SriLanka. The fast bowler was scheduled to be fit by the Australia tour of India but has recovered well in time for a January return. Him bowling full strength is a clear indication of him being back to his best. With Shami also ruled out with injury, Bumrah’s return becomes all the more crucial.
