With IPL 2024 Retention deadline set for November 26, the rumour mill is at work. As per the latest developments, Hardik Pandya is en route to a sensational return to Mumbai Indians. But then there is also Trent Boult who as per latest rumours is going to be released. The highest earner of IPL Sam Curran is also likely to be on his way out. Curran had a lukewarm stint at Punjab Kings and the franchise is likely to free up the purse. Chennai Super Kings have confirmed that Ben Stokes won’t be part of IPL 2024 due to workload and injury management. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur is likely on his way out of KKR.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have completed the trading of Shahbaz Ahmed and Mayank Dagar ahead of the retention list announcement.

Rajasthan Royals have confirmed that Joe Root will not feature in IPL 2024. The England star has opted out of IPL and therefore he has been released. He is the second England player after Ben Stokes to miss IPL.

Delhi Capitals are also likely to part ways with two middle-order batters Manish Pandey and Sarfaraz Khan.

Only two trade deals have been officially confirmed so far. Avesh Khan has been traded to Rajasthan Royals (RR) from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with Devdutt Padikkal going the other way.

Romario Shepherd has moved to Mumbai Indians (MI) from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
