IPL Fastest 50: Records tumbled at Eden Gardens on Thursday with Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal recording the IPL fastest fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders. Th eleft hander took just 13 balls to shatter the record previously jointly held by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins. The fifty scored by Jaiswal was his fourth in IPL 2023. Yashasvi Jaiswal began the innings smashing 26 runs in the first over off KKR skipper Nitish Rana. He got to his fifty in the 3rd over of the run chase with a single. Before Jaiswal the record for fastest ever IPL fifty belonged to KL Rahul and Pat Cummins. Rahul had achieved the feat while playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) against Delhi Capitals during the 2018 edition. The right hander had smashed fifty of 14 balls. Pat Cummins who jointly held the record achieved the feat playing for Kolkata Knight Riders against Mumbai Indians at Pune in IPL 2022. Below are the names of the players to have achieved the feat.
