The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season will start on March 21. But the entire schedule for the 18th edition of the IPL isn’t out yet. Given that in just 38 days the tournament will start, you’d expect the fixtures to be out soon.
IPL 2025 schedule date likely to be out by next week
According to Sports Tak, in a week or so, the BCCI will announce the full schedule of the IPL 2025 season. There is a realistic chance that before the ICC Champions Trophy starts, we’ll know who’ll play against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens. For some now, it’s been an IPL tradition that the defending champion open the event, and so we’ll have to see who KKR faces on March 21.
IPL 2025 Final venues
As for the IPL 2025 Final, Eden Gardens is expected to host the 18th edition ender. The Playoff 2 is also expected to be played in Kolkata. As for the Playoff 1 and Eliminator matches, they are expected to be played at Sunrisers Hyderabad’s home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals to play 2 home matches, away from home
It was previously confirmed that 11 venues will be used for 10 teams for 74 matches. Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play two home matches at a neutral venue. So, RR will play five matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and two matches at the Barsapara Cricket (ACA) Stadium in Assam.
We’ll add another venue to this. The Delhi Capitals (DC), much like last year, will play two of their home matches at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag. Their remaining home games (five) will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
