IPL 2025: GT’s Arshad Khan slips twice in follow through, survives major injury scare

Arshad Khan has had decent returns in IPL 2025, bagging 5 wickets in 7 matches so far.

GT would have hoped for yet another win in IPL 2025, to seal their top 2 spot in the points table. But then, their start against LSG on Thursday, at home, wasn’t the most auspicious. Bowling the second over of the innings, pacer Arshad Khan slipped twice, in similar fashion, in his follow through, almost injuring him badly.

GT Pacer Arshad Khan Injured?

It first happened on the first delivery of the overs, and then on the fifth, where in a bid to generate extra pace, the bowler could not control his speed, and eventually slipped on the pitch. Luckily for him at GT, Arshad Khan looked fine to complete the over, where he gave away 13 runs.

After the two falls, Arshad looked a bit skeptical to go full throttle, but that is only expected. He went off the field after the completion of the over too. Having said that, an official word will have to come from the GT management, if the 27-year-old pacer has done any damage to his body. In 7 matches so far, the youngster has come up with decent performances, and picked up 5 wickets.

As far as the match is concerned, GT opted to bowl first on a green wicket, to put pressure on a struggling batting unit of LSG. In fact, Shubman Gill went with the same playing XI, not wanting to disturb the winning combination. After this, they have another match left, vs CSK on May 25, and would be hoping to play in the Qualifier 1.
