IPL 2024 window confirmed between March 22 and May End

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 window is reportedly set between March 22 - May end.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 window is reportedly set for March 22 and May end. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) & IPL governing council held a meeting with IPL franchise owners on Monday and informed them on the schedule and foreign players’ availability.

The board have confirmed that players from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland and Sri Lanka are set to be available for the whole duration of IPL 2024.

The BCCI has also confirmed to the IPL franchises that Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, who is expecting a baby in March, will be available to play the tournament in May.

Notably, despite a decent season in IPL 2023, Hazlewood was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2024.

Availability of England players subject to international commitments

The Indian board have also confirmed that England leg spinner Rehan Ahmed will not be available for next edition and the availability of the rest of the England players will be be subjected to their international commitments.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket Ireland (CI) have given special permissions to Mustafizur Rahman and Joshua Little to take part in IPL 2024. While the Ireland pacer will be available for the whole duration of the tournament, Rahman has been granted NOC till May 11.

The BCB has also informed the BCCI that Taskin Ahmed and Md. Shoriful Islam will not be available for the IPL 2024 edition.
