IPL 2024’s broadcasting partner Jio Cinema on Wednesday released a fantastic advertisement involving MS Dhoni to promote the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni is seen playing a double role in the advertisement.
Dhoni had built up the suspense with a post on social media on Monday where he wrote, “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role’. Stay tuned!” The post garnered a lot of attention even though the exact meaning of the post remained unclear. The fans were excited as the suspense kept building up regarding Dhoni’s new role until the advertisement cleared up the confusion.
The 42-year-old Dhoni is shown in the video clip playing two roles. It heightens the excitement leading up to the lucrative T20 league. “New season, double role! All the action brought to you absolutely free with #IPLonJioCinema, starting 22nd March. Kyunki sab yahaan, aur kahaan!” Dhoni wrote in caption after sharing the video from his Facebook channel.

Notably on March 2 (Saturday), CSK began their pre-season training camp. The first set of players arrived in Chennai one day early than the scheduled start of training. Prominent athletes, such as Ruturaj Gaikwad, Simarjeet Singh, Deepak Chahar, and others, are in the camp preparing for the upcoming season’s challenges. On March 5, MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai; the images and videos from his arrival went viral on social media.
