Mitchell Starc emerged as the highest earner in the JioCinema Mock Auction for IPL 2024, securing a staggering deal of INR 18.5 crores. The simulated bidding war also saw Pat Cummins fetching an impressive INR 17.5 crores, closely followed by Shardul Thakur, who notched a significant bag at INR 14 crores.

Parthiv Patel representing Gujarat Titans (GT) went all out on South African speedster Gerald Coetzee in mock auction, making him rich by INR 18 crore. Punjab Kings went for star Indian all-rounder Shardul Tahkur.

While CSK’s Suresh Raina made a strategic move by acquiring Travis Head for 7.5 crores and Wanindu Hasaranga for Rs 8.5 crore. Representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Eoin Morgan successfully secured Pat Cummins for a hefty sum of 17.5 crores.

JioCinema, aiming to provide a sneak peek into the dynamics of the IPL auction process, organized the Mock Room IPL Auction on Monday, December 18, at 12 PM IST. The event served as a rehearsal for IPL franchises, offering insights into the auction rules and procedures.

The mock auction mirrored the official IPL 2024 Auction set to take place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. With 333 players, including 214 Indian and 119 overseas players, vying for spots in the mini auction, the franchises have limited slots available—only 77 spots are open across the teams.

Notable cricketing personalities participated in the simulated auction, adding authenticity to the experience. The likes of Suresh Raina, Eoin Morgan, Anil Kumble, Parthiv Patel, Aakash Chopra, Mike Hesson, RP Singh, Abhinav Mukund, and Robin Uthappa actively engaged in the mock auction, replicating the real-time scenario.
