As the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) draws near, there continues to be a plethora of changes in the Teams. Kolkata Knight Riders have roped in Phil Salt for the upcoming season. He will go to replace Jason Roy who has pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons.
This counts as a fresh life for Phil Salt who remained unsold in IPL 2024 Auction. The Kolkata outfits have replaced the Englishman with another Englishman.
The reason for Jason Roy’s absence is unknown. Jason Roy has gone on to cite Personal Reasons to pull out of the tournament. KKR will surely miss the services of their dominant top order batter. But they have gone on to sign a dependable destructive batter as Phil Salt in their mixes.
Phil Salt previously played for Dlehi Capitals in IPL 2023. He remained unsold in IPL 2024 Auction and now finally gets his chance in the league. Salt has been roped in for a price of 1.5 crore ahead of the mega tournament.
