IPL 2024 Auction time changed as BCCI announces revised timing

Earlier, the IPL 2024 Auction will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 19 (Tuesday).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the revised timing of the upcoming IPL Auction 2024 that will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Tuesday (December 19). Earlier, the IPL 2024 Auction was set to be conducted from 2:30PM IST onwards. However, the auction will now kick-start from 1:00 PM IST on Tuesday.

A total of INR 262.95 crore salary cap is available to spent in the IPL auction with former champs Gujarat Titans having the highest purse of INR 38.15 crore. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have the lowest purse of INR 13.15 crore. A total of 77 slots are available including 30 overseas players slots.

A total of 333 players have registered for the IPL 2024 Auction including 214 Indians and 119 overseas cricketers. There are a total of 116 capped players. There are 215 uncapped players and 2 are from associate nations. The likes of Mitchell Starc, Travis Head, Josh Hazlewood, Manish Pandey and Wanindu Hasaranga are some top names that are set to go under the hammer in the upcoming Auction.
