With the Indian Premier League 2024 auction looming on the horizon and less than three weeks remaining until the event which will be held on December 19 in Dubai, players have until November 30 (Thursday) to complete their registration for the auction. According to Cricbuzz, to be eligible for the IPL 2024 auctions, players need to provide their names along with No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from their respective cricket boards. Recent estimates indicate that around 700 cricketers are likely to apply for player registrations for the IPL 2024 auction.

As the deadline for player registrations on November 30 approaches, numerous notable figures, including several stars from the World Cup 2023, are anticipated to enter their names for the auction.

Similarly, New Zealand’s standout performer, Rachin Ravindra, along with the impressive Afghan talents Rahmat Shah and Ibrahim Zadran, are expected to be highly sought after due to their recent noteworthy performances in India.

Earlier this week on Sunday, the ten competing franchises released their lists of retained players and those released in preparation for the upcoming season. According to the BCCI’s calculations, around 70 new players are expected to be allocated to all franchises during this year’s auction. This projection takes into account the need to fill at least 77 available slots resulting from the recent player releases by the teams.

The IPL 2024 is anticipated to commence from the third week of March, after the conclusion of the five-match home Test series between India and England, and is expected to run until the third week of May. This timeline allows players and cricket boards sufficient time for preparation ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup, scheduled to kick off on June 3.
