Delhi Capitals (DC) have acquired England’s explosive batter Harry Brook for 4 crore in IPL 2024 Auction in Dubai on Tuesday. The 24-year-old sparked a bidding war between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and DC but the latter came out on top to fetch the Englishman.
From 13.25 crore to 4 crore!
Notably, Brook will have to take a big pay cut in the IPL 2024. Brook, who had a stunning international start in 2022, was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad at a whopping Rs 13.25 crore.
However, the youngster failed to replicate his imperious international form in his maiden IPL season.
In the 11 matches that he played for the Hyderabad franchise in IPL 2023, he scored 190 runs with 100 being his highest.
Fast forward to the IPL 2024 auction, and the dynamics have shifted. Brook finds himself being auctioned at a considerably lower price, settling at Rs 4 crore.
