GT vs DC: IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals’ misery in IPL 2023 continued as the visitors suffered another batting collapse against Gujarat Titans. After opting to bat first, the DC side had a disastrous start after they lost opener Phil Salt on the very first delivery of the innings. Salt, who scored a brilliant half-century in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, didn’t trouble the scorers as he was outdone by Mohammed Shami’s brilliance. Mohammed Shami displayed a vintage swing bowling spell in to get rid of Delhi Capitals’ top order. Shami bowled a juicy tempting delivery on a sixth stump in the very first ball and got Salt caught at extra cover.

Shami bowled four over on the trot and had the DC batters in a bind. Priyam Garg failed to negotiate the slight late movement and struggled to put bat to the ball; Rilee Rossouw, Manish Pandey, and later Garg all tried to drive but the late movement got all three of them. Shami ended his brilliant spell by giving away just 11 runs and picking four wickets.

Aman Hakim Khan and Ripal Patel are currently on the crease with DC reeling at 76/6 in 15 overs. Notably, the David Warner-led side is languishing at the bottom of the table with just 2 wins in 9 matches in the tournament.
