IPL 2023: Aashneer Grover – Former Shark Tank judge Ashneer Grover has launched a new fantasy cricket app named Crickpe. This is a unique app as it will pay cricketers for performance. Grover announced the news on Twitter by saying, “CRICKPE! The biggest revolution in Cricket since IPL – only fantasy game paying cricketers for performance! Dream11, Mycricketcircle, 11 wickets, MyTeam11, and HalaPlay are some of the most popular Fantasy cricket apps. None of these though pay cricketers for their performance. However, Crickpe is the only app that will pay cricketers based on their performances. The description of Apple iPhone’s App store read, “Crickpe is India’s most unique and powerful fantasy cricket gaming app, where ‘Cricket Wins’ every day!

“Crickpe is the only fantasy game which will reward a percentage of every game pot to real cricketers, based on their actual performance in the match, in proportion to their fantasy points earned”, the app description read.
IPL 2023: Crickpe rules and regulations explained
In addition to this, users will be able to send rewards of up to Rs 1 lakh in a financial year to a cricketer, but it would be up to the cricketer to accept or reject the reward. If the cricketer accepts the reward, it will be subject to applicable taxes and a processing fee of 10%. As a promotional offer, Crickpe said on its website that it will not be collecting any processing fee till June.
“It is hereby stated that we are not acting as agents of cricketers and are not under a binding contract to collect any money on their behalf. Crickpe shall solely be acting as your agent in offering this cash reward,” according to the startup’s terms and conditions.
