The opening ceremony of the IPL 2023 is scheduled to be held on Friday ahead of the opening match between Chennai Super Kings and Titans. The cricketing quotient aside, fans will be treated to an eye-catching array of Bollywood celebrities at the grand opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony is likely to commence around 7:30 pm IST on March 31, followed by the match roughly half an hour later, similar to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 launch last month. In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, the BCCI decided not to hold an opening ceremony before the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the course of 52 days, 70 league-stage matches will be played across 12 venues.
The IPL will also return to the ‘home-and-away’ structure this year, with the 10 teams divided into two groups for the 70 league matches. The IPL 2023 final will be played on May 28.
