IPL 2023: Chandrakant Pandit has already fallen in love with Kolkata. The former India player was appointed as the head coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders recently. He has been trying to meet various players of the franchise. He alongside some of the KKR players, including Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh joined in Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata. It is pertinent to mention that the festival is big in Bengal, and celebrations last for several days. It also provided an opportunity for Pandit to meet his fans, and the new coach was impressed with their passion for the team.
Pandit was so impressed that he promised to visit the city soon. “What better occasion than the auspicious Durga pujo to begin my journey with Kolkata and KKR. The love and passion this city has for our team is incomparable. I hope to continue the marvellous legacy they have built over the years and keep giving our fans more reasons to celebrate,” Pandit said.

However, the fans will be more happy with Pandit if he can help KKR win the title next season. KKR has always been a strong team in the competition as their twin titles suggest and also finished runners-up in the league.
Pandit brings a kind of fresh air into the IPL, which comprises of foreigners as coaches. SO, there will be pressure to deliver. But with the kind of results Pandit has produced over the years in the domestic circuit, good things are expected at KKR.
