Sourav Ganguly, the new director of cricket for Delhi Capital, will be in charge of managing all facets of the sport’s operations for the team owned by JSW-GMR. He and head coach Ricky Ponting must decide on the future captain of DC because Rishabh Pant has been hospitalised in Dehradun after suffering a fatal injury through car accident. Pant will require some time to heal from his wounds.

From Delhi, Rishabh Pant was making his way back to his hometown. His vehicle struck a barrier on the way and overturned. Pant sustained significant injuries in this accident. However, he is no longer in danger and is receiving care at the Max Hospital in Dehradun. Pant was moved from the ICU to a private room. However, the swelling on various portions of his body has not yet gone down. Due to his inability to walk yet, the Indian wicketkeeper batsman is restricted to bed. Pant is currently not well enough to undergo MRI scans.
The doctors on the BCCI panel are in close communication with the hospital administration and will decide whether to perform knee and ankle surgeries in the coming days. The management of Delhi Capitals will speak with the BCCI about Rishabh Pant’s health before making a significant decision regarding “who would be the next captain.”
