IPL 2022: Yash Dhull not bothered about IPL – On February 12 and 13, all eyes will be on Yash Dhull and his teammates who are in the auction. But the leader of the U19 pack that created history on Antigua, Yash Dhull is unfazed. He is not bothered about IPL auction and instead wants to get better even though a big-money contract could be lurking. Follow IPL 2022 Auction Live Updates on InsideSport.IN.

While he might not be bothered by all the hullabaloo of the IPL Auction and the potential price tag he will have like Yashasvi Jaiswal but that he will have a base price of just Rs 20 lakh could tempt all the franchises in targeting him.

Dhull became the fifth Indian captain to lead the team to U19 World Cup title. As the history would have it, U19 stars are given a great deal of attention in IPL Auction. Take Yashasvi Jaiswal for example, he was sold for Rs 2.4 Cr in the 2020 auction while Prithvi Shaw bagged a contract of Rs 1.2 Crore in 2018.

“This is a big achievement for me, my team, and my country. The final was thrilling. I was sitting in the dugout and getting goosebumps. I want to thank my coach Rajesh Nagar sir and my school (Bal Bhavan) for supporting me a lot. Whether I am out of form, not scoring runs, or going through a lean patch, they have always trusted my abilities and gave me a lot of confidence. They are so happy right now and eagerly waiting to see me with the trophy. I can’t thank Rajesh sir enough. His support and guidance were always enough for me,” Yash Dhull said.

In fact, barring Mohammed Kaif and Virat Kohli when there was no IPL or rules were different, the recent IPL auctions have seen franchises paying a high price for younger players.
