Shakib Al Hasan’s WIFE – IPL 2022 Auction: Umme Ahmed Shishir, has explained the real reason behind the senior Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder remaining unsold at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru.
“Before you get too excited a Couple of teams contacted him directly ahead of time if he can be available for the full season, but unfortunately he can’t due to the Sri Lanka series! This is why he did not get picked which is not a big deal, it is not the end, there’s always next year!” she wrote on Facebook.
“In order to be picked he needed to skip SL series, so if he was picked would you have said the same? or would you have made him a traitor by now? Sorry to pour water on your excitement,” she further added.
Shakib Al Hasan IPL Auction: Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had set INR 2 crore as his base price for the auction.
He was amongst the 12 players who had the same base price and went unsold at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction.
Shakib not getting picked came as surprise to many fans as he brings a plethora of experience with him alongside amazing batting and spin bowling skills.
Shakib’s IPL Caree: So far he has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
Overall he has played 71 games and scored 793 runs at an average of 19.8 and strike rate of 124.5. Also, he has picked 63 IPL wickets at an economy of 7.43 and an average of 29.2.
As per IPL MoneyBall Ranking, Shakib has almost earned 25 Crore till date in IPL Salary.
