- Kohli was batting well and was well on course to his fifty before leg spinner Dewald Brevis struck off his first ball.
- The RCB batter defended the ball, but the ball made contact with him and his bat simultaneously.
- After a lot of deliberation and several TV replays, the third umpire gave the decision in favor of MI. Kohli had to walk back 48.
