IPL 2022: Quinton de Kock feels Cricket South Africa has to show loyalty to players

South Africa’s Test skipper Dean Elgar made a scathing remark that he does not know whether players like Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, and Aiden Markram will be selected again after they opted to play IPL. De Kock, who retired from Test cricket feels CSA has failed to show loyalty to players. The southpaw also feels it is the board’s responsibility to look after the players.

South Africa Players in IPL “Not too much. Every board has the responsibility to look after the players. There’s a big money gap between a lot of countries but having said that, IPL is only 7 weeks, so there’s still lots of other cricket to be played for your country, It’s not really a red flag because it’s such a big thing for a player to come to the IPL.”

There won’t be too much of a dispute with that because you want to give loyalty to your country and board, but you would also like a bit of back as a player. The conflict starts when the board doesn’t start showing loyalty back to the players.”
