Chennai Super Kings will begin their practice in Surat with MS Dhoni playing a masterstroke. They will begin their practice on March 7, ahead of the rest of the teams and chose Surat due to the same black soil used in pitches in Mumbai.

Punjab Kings also confirmed to InsideSport that they will begin practice in Mumbai ahead of IPL 2022 with new captain Mayank Agarwal joining the team two days later after India’s 2nd Test against Sri Lanka. InsideSport takes a look at the practice schedule of all 10 teams ahead of IPL 2022.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK): MS Dhoni & Co were the first team to announce their practice schedule. CSK will have a pre-IPL camp in Surat’s Lalbhai Contractor Stadium with MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo besides India’s domestic players all set to join. However, the availability of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar will be decided as per their recovery progress.

Punjab Kings (PBKS): Punjab Kings will begin their practice in Mumbai on March 15. Under head coach Anil Kumble, PBKS will begin practice with India’s domestic players also joining in. But skipper Mayank Agarwal will join two days later due to national team commitments. The foreign players will also start assembling by March 15. The venue will be decided in the next few days.

Mumbai Indians (MI): Mumbai Indians will begin their practice on March 10 with few domestic players. The star players will join by March 17. While MI haven’t announced the venue, it is likely that they will camp at Reliance Jio Stadium in Mumbai.
Delhi Capitals (DC): Delhi Capitals will begin practice from the second week of March with captain Rishabh Pant and other India players will be joining in from March 17. Like PBKS, DC will also have their pre-IPL camp in Mumbai.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): SRH will also have their practice camp in Mumbai with skipper Kane Williamson arriving by March 12. All overseas players will start arriving by March 10.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): RCB have already begun their practice with just two players having sessions under the director of cricket Mike Hesson. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): While some young KKR players including retained star Varun Chakravarthy had a few sessions in KKR academy grounds in Mumbai, KKR are yet to release the dates of pre-IPL camp. The team is also likely to begin training from second week of March with Shreyas Iyer joining in from March 17.
Rajasthan Royals (RR): Another team yet to announce pre-IPL camp dates is Rajasthan Royals. But with Sanju Samson joining the camp after Ranji Trophy, RR are also expected to begin their camp from March 10.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): One of the two new outfits, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will have their skipper KL Rahul joining in after recovering from an injury. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA in Bengaluru. LSG will begin their pre-IPL camp after March 10.
Gujarat Titans (GT): While skipper Hardik Pandya has already begun solo training, he will be joined by his teammates in the second week of March. They are expected to shift base to Mumbai closer to the tournament.
