Rajasthan Royals – Jos Buttler – Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler has been a chief contributor to his team’s cause this season with 499 runs. More importantly, RR have scored 1475 runs in the IPL so far, and Buttler’s tally of 499 runs accounts for 35 percent of the runs.
The versatile Englishman has scored three hundred in the IPL 2022 season and will remain a massive figure for RR if they are to reach the play-offs. Sanju Samson and Shmiron Hetmyer come second and third respectively with a little over 16% contribution.
Delhi Capitals – Prithvi Shaw – The team from capital is yet to win the IPL and will be eying a maiden title with Prithvi Shaw and David Warner amongst their ranks. While Prithvi is the highest scorer in the team, he has scored 254 runs, accounting for 22.46 percent of runs scored by DC.
In total, DC have scored 1199 runs in the IPL 2022 season as the likes of David Warner (219 runs) and Rishabh Pant (188 runs) also playing a huge role in the run contribution.
Kolkata Knight Riders – Shreyas Iyer – The two-time champions have gone under the radar in recent times, but skipper Shreyas Iyer hasn’t failed to impress. Shreyas has scored 248 runs in the tournament, which accounts for 20.43 percent of runs scored by KKR. The former champions have scored 1268 runs in the IPL while they struggle to keep pace for the top four race. Andre Russell is the second-highest contributor with 18.70 percent contribution to the teams overall tally.

Punjab Kings – Dhawan & Livingstone – Punjab had been struggling for form in recent times but Liam Livingstone and Shikhar Dhawan have been the pillar stones for the team. Shikhar and Livingstone have contributed 43 percent of the runs for PBKS with Shikhar already in hunt for the Orange Cap with more than 300 runs. Shikhar has contributed 23.69 percent of the runs for PBKS while Liam Livingstone has made 19.22 contributions with the bat, having scored 245 runs of the 1275 runs.
Lucknow Super Giants – KL Rahul – The India opener has been firing on all cylinders for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the entire tournament and is second in the Orange Cap tally with 368 runs. LSG have scored 1385 runs in the tournament, which therefore accounts 27.94 percent of runs for the LSG. Quinton de Kock has scored 225 runs and contributes 17.07 percent of the runs for LSG.

Gujarat Titans – Hardik Pandya – Gujarat Titans have been one of the most successful teams in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they are sitting at the top. The Titans have scored 1324 runs in the IPL so far, with bulk of the contribution coming from skipper Hardik Pandya. The GT skipper has scored 305 runs of the 1324 runs made by GT, which accounts 26.27 percent of the runs made by the team, more than a quarter of the team’s runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – Abhishek Sharma – unrisers Hyderabad (SRH) started on a slow note having lost first two matches, but have since been a huge attraction with five wins in a row. SRH have scored 1224 runs with Abhishek Sharma scoring 285 runs in that. Abhishek’s tally of runs accounts for 24.61 percent of runs, with teammate Aiden Markram also not far with 21.24 percent contribution with 246 runs in the ongoing campaign of the IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore – Faf du Plessis – The RCB franchise has been unpredictable at times, winning and losing in succession, captain Faf though has contributed to the team’s cause. Faf is the highest scorer with 278 runs from the 1408 runs RCB have scored this season. Faf’s tally contributes 21.34 percent of the runs scored by RCB. Surprisingly, with Virat Kohli out of form, it is the veteran Indian Dinesh Karthik who comes second in the list with 216 runs and a percent count of 16.58.
Mumbai Indians – Tilak Varma – Mumbai Indians (MI) have endured a tough time in the current campaign of the IPL as they still search for their first win of the season. Not Rohit, not Ishan, not Kieron but unknown Tilak Verma remains the highest contributor to the team with 272 runs in the eight matches he has played. His tally accounts for 21.71 percent of the 1313 runs scored by MI in what has been a poor campaign for the five-time champions.
Chennai Super Kings – Dube & Rayudu – Defending champions CSK have also endured a tough time in the IPL this season, after having the big boys like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis in their ranks for the last season. This time they have the likes of Shivam Dube who has carried the baton with 247 runs, contributing 19.49 percent of the runs. Overall CSK have scored 1338 runs, with Ambati Raydu also not far with 246 runs and a percent contribution of 19.42.
