He accomplished this feat against Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. A single towards mid-wicket off a Harpreet Brar delivery helped Kohli reach this accomplishment.

Kohli is the current highest scorer in the history of the tournament. With 6519 runs he holds a commanding lead over second-placed Shikhar Dhawan. With a healthy average of 36.21, Kohli has achieved this feat in 212 innings. He also has 5 centuries and 43 half-centuries under his belt.
Shikhar Dhawan and Aussie batter David Warner stand second and third only list respectively. While Dhawan has scored 6186 runs, Warner has managed to score 5876 runs. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is slotted fourth in the list with 5829 runs while Suresh Raina takes the fifth spot with 5528 runs under his belt.

Kohli’s innings, unfortunately, didn’t last long as he was dismissed at just 20 runs. A visually disappointed Kohli wanted to score more runs as his team had a huge task of chasing 210 set by Punjab Kings.
