IPL 2022: Michael Hussey reveals MASTER STRATEGIST MS Dhoni’s plans in chase, says ‘My heartbeat goes up but Dhoni calculates everything in advance’
In a video uploaded by CSK on their social media platforms, CSK batting coach Michael Hussey has revealed how MS Dhoni has things planned during a run chase and how the Master tactician goes about his work. Hussey, fondly known as Mr. Cricket said, “He (MS Dhoni) is someone who is very calculative. I remember having conversations with him in the middle where I’ll be starting to panic with the run rate going up.”
Hussey added, “He would be calculating it to the very end. How many times have we won the game in the last over? He had it all mapped out.”

Having played with and against Jaydev Unadkat a number of times in the past, the 40-year-old knew exactly how to counter those plans and got his team over the line to hand Mumbai Indians their seventh consecutive defeat and a kept CSK alive in the race for the playoffs.
