Rohit Sharma, who happens to be the most successful captain in the Indian Premier League, completed his three-day quarantine and started practice on Friday. On only his second day at the office, he was seen hitting the ball into the stands. Notably, the Indian all-format captain arrived at MI’s team hotel merely hours after completing a clean sweep against Sri Lanka.

Besides Sharma, mega-money signing Ishan Kishan was also seen in his usual rhythm at the nets. Speaking on the training session, the wicketkeeper-batter said “Good to be back here with all my teammates. I really enjoyed the session today. Pretty hectic for everyone because every batsman got about 40-45 minutes to bat. This was a good day spent.”

Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams, who has also joined practice and is trying to nail his place down in MI’s first-choice playing XI, said “It is good to be out of the hotel obviously. Boys have got some great energy at the start of the camp. Looking forward to the start of the tournament.” The boys in blue and gold will start their IPL 2022 campaign with a match against Delhi Capitals on March 27.
