Faf ‘The Man’ and Rajat steady the ship – After Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck, RCB really needed to keep hold of things as they were recently bowled out for less than a 100. Both Faf and Rajat made sure they added vital runs at a quick rate despite the early setback. The 105-run stand took 73 deliveries as they both scored at a higher strike rate. They made full use of the powerplay yielding 47 runs and recovered well.
Rajat misses out on fifty – The partnership between Rajat and Faf is the sixth highest partnership in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rajat would consider himself unlucky as he missed out on a fifty and was dismissed in the 13th over by Jagadeesha Suchith on 48 runs of 38 deliveries. Rajat’s innings included four fours and two sixes but was unlucky to add another feather to the cap.
On the flip side, Faf continued his impressive run in the tournament as he entered top five of the Orange Cap standings and was batting on 63 off 42 deliveries at the time of writing.
