IPL 2022: BCCI releases IPL 2022 BIO-BUBBLE guidelines for teams, check 7 rules every team needs to follow: Follow LIVE updates

  1. The players and support staff need to undergo three-day hard quarantine followed by a negative test on Day 4 to enter the bio-secure bubble.
  2. The players need to do in-room testing during the quarantine period after every 24 hours.
  3. Players can also enter the bubble from bubble to bubble as long as they use charter flight or by road to commute. It includes Sri Lanka tour of India, Australia Tour of Pakistan, Bangladesh tour of South Africa and England tour of West Indies.
  4. If any players or staff break out of the bubble then they will have to undergo three-day quarantine and test negative for COVID-19.
  5. On arrival test will be done in Mumbai and till the time results come out the participants to be quarantined in their respective rooms. There should be zero contact at the airport.
  6. A green corridor will need to be created for their movement so that the bio bubbles are maintained.
  7. If any member of a team ends up testing positive for COVID-19, they are likely to be allowed quarantine in the hotel

All ten franchises are expected to start training for the tournament by March 14-15. The IPL 2022 season will be held from March 26-May 29. A total of 70 league matches will be played across four international standard venues in Mumbai and Pune. The venue for the playoff matches will be decided later. Interestingly, with regards to doubleheaders, there will be 12 matches/days.

Mumbai, Wankhede Stadium will host 20 matches while 15 matches will be played at Brabourne Stadium (CCI). DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai will host 20 matches while Pune’s MCA International Stadium will conduct 15 matches.

Group A: Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Super Giants.

Group B will consist of: Chennai Super Kings, Sunrises Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.
